Accessibility

UNBOUND is meant for everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboards, and phones. We're working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA.

What we've built in

  • Text colors checked for contrast against their backgrounds (cream on espresso is 12.6:1; small orange text uses tints that meet 4.5:1)
  • Visible focus outlines for keyboard navigation
  • Directory filters that work with a keyboard and without JavaScript
  • Large tap targets and layouts that adapt to phones
  • Respect for reduced-motion settings

Known limitations

The site is new, and we haven't completed a formal accessibility audit yet. Some third-party pages we link to may not meet the same standard.
